I¹ve looked everywhere, and I don¹t see a preference to be able to set the
color of a font as a default for new emails. Same with background color.
Am I missing something, or is Entourage 2004 missing something?
Well, most people don't consider it al that important (and you keep forcing
me to turn off that sickly yellow background when replying! You see, a lot
of people won't even like it. ;-) So it wasn't a major priority for MacBU.
However, I've written a free script that lets you do just that: Message
Template X , which you can get at
MacScripter.net <
http://macscripter.net/scriptbuilders/>
It lets you establish a template for your HTML messages, including font,
background color, background picture, text color, signature, inserted
picture in signature, etc. etc. (In conjunction with my Make Hyperlinks X at
sending time, you could even include a "Display Hyperlink" in your
signature). Instead of pressing cmd-N for a new message, you press
control-cmd-N (or any key combo you want to substitute) and get your
template with default font color and anything else you set in the template.
