I thought I¹d give entourage a shot as a news reader ‹ why is it when
ever I Œview threaded¹ it sorts by subject? Is there a way to fix this?

Yes, upgrade to Office 2004 and use "Groupings" in Entourage 2004 there.
View/Arrange By. You cab "Edit Custom Arrangements..." there and set up just
about any sorting you want.

sorry if this is posted incorrectly. I don't know how to start a new topic.

I have an older mac, running OS 9.1 and Entourage 2001 v. 9.0. My inbox has
about 500 messages in it, and no matter how I click on the SENT bar, it
refuses to sort them in any particular order. the newest messages are
interspersed with old ones. It's impossible to find new mail without
searching through by hand.

Is there a way to solve this? Help requested.

thanks,
don e.

Install the latest Office 2001 update:
* Microsoft Office 2001 for Mac Security Update (9.0.5)

Download it from Microsoft:
<http://www.microsoft.com/mac/downloads.aspx#Office2001>

If that doesn't help, try rebuilding the database. In Entourage 2001, quit
Entourage, and then restart Entourage holding down the Option key. When the
Rebuild dialog box comes up, choose to do a Typical Rebuild. If that does
not fix the problem, repeat the procedure, instead opting to do the Advanced
Rebuild.
