Can't stop the e-mail outbox from sending over and over...

I have a problem with messages in my inbox that will not
delete--worse, they keep resending. Is there a setting
that I must attend to? It sometimes is referred to as
a "worm" like activity. (the capacity is 10M and it is
exceeded, so tries and tries with no success).

Bottom line: how do I delete all messages in the queue
attempting to send?
