Hi Bill,
The same happens to me, since a update from Microsoft I made last
friday. Today Microsoft release a new update, but still doesn't work.
Before the last two updates, it works perfectily.
I'm looking for some solution until know.. does anybody had the same
bug ?
I've seen that with SyncService database corruption.
The solution for me was is pretty drastic. If anything bad happens, it
can lead to loss of data........
I use the Terminal to kill the Sync Server process:
killall SyncServer
Then I trash all the Sync data:
rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/SyncServices/*
Then I re-launch the .Mac prefpane and allapps that sync through it
(Safari, iCal, Entourage, Mail, Yojimbo.....) to make sure they all
re-register properly.
This is virtually the same thing as synching everything for the first
time ever. You ahve to be really careful what you chose when you get the
Sync dialogs asking you what to do (Merge, replace one with the
other...) since you could end up losing entries if you make the wrong
choice.
I woudl stringly STRONGLY encourage you to bakcup everything before you
attempt anything.
(though as I said, it completely fixed the same issue on my computer and
even ended up correcting a few other minor glitches I had on .Mac).
