CANT UPDATE OFFICE X to 10.1.3

Hi,

I have been running Office 10.0.0 for quite some time. So I decided I
needed to update the software. I first updated it to 10.1.2.
Everything went okay. Then I updated it to 10.1.3. It had me re-enter
all my info ex:name, Phone #, and registration #. When I entered the
reg#, it said the # is invalid. How can this be? Any tips or
suggestions? thanks

Situation 1: Was this a sealed copy? If you bought it opened or off of
eBay, it's no surprise, as keys which are known to have been pirated have
been disabled. Sorry, you'll need to buy a licensed copy.

Situation 2: If you bought your copy of Office X sealed from a reputable
dealer, it's possible for some reason your key was bad. You can request a
new one by calling Microsoft Product Support Services. For inquiries
regarding Office X (only), click this link for a phone number. You should
not be charged for the replacement key.

However, if you were able to successfully update to 10.1.2 and do not use
French or Italian proofing tools, I'd recommend you stick with that and then
call Microsoft if you have problems with the next update.
