Can't Use Keyboard to Change Event Fields

Hey, y'all, this has been bugging me since v.X, and I thought it would go
away in 2004, but it hasn't. When I'm entering a new Event in the Calendar,
I often can't use the keyboard to change the time fields. I can usually
change Start Time, but not End Time or the reminder time. I CAN use the
arrows to change these fields, but when I tried to type directly in the
fields, I can't. I thought maybe it was a "Full Keyboard Access" problem,
but shutting that off didn't fix it. The only other program I am running in
the background is Launchbar 4 Beta, but shutting that off doesn't seem to do
it either. Has anyone else ever experienced this problem? Any idea what
could be causing it? Everything else in OSX (10.3.4), and Entourage and all
my other apps (Office and otherwise) are working great (except for this one
problem). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I get the same problem, frequently. I thought it was only in 2004, The
problem seems to arise _after_ using the arrow keys (and very occasionally
it prevents the arrow keys from working again too). If you only type text,
it should be OK. Easiest is to save and close the event, then re-open it and
fix things. It's a big nuisance, I agree.

Paul,

Thanks for the reply. You're right! It does happen after I press the arrow
key. And it was happening in v.X (although I'm not sure it was there in all
point versions). There's always some comfort in knowing that I'm not the
only one with a problem -- even if there is no immediate solution. All in
all, a minor problem with an awesome new version of Office.
