I just tried. I went to exceptions and put I tunes in the box and hit add.Entity kevs spoke thus:
Tools>Autocorrect>Exceptions
Kevs, you were in the wrong place, Exceptions has three tabs, and the "Otherkevs said:I just tried. I went to exceptions and put I tunes in the box and hit add.
It still writes out I tunes with the I capitalized. It says don't
capitalized after word. I don't see how that can solve this problem. There
would have to be a way that the software could see that you have the I
followed by the word tunes not to capitalize the i. Possible?
Thanks Dayo! that should solve my problem pretty well. The command z thing,Kevs, you were in the wrong place, Exceptions has three tabs, and the "Other
Corrections" one is the general Exclude box. But putting iTunes there
doesn't work for me in Office 2001, it removes the capital T. Using an
AutoCorrect entry doesn't work either, since AutoCapitalization triggers
after AutoCorrect. I played around with this a while ago and could not get
it to work, has anyone solved it? Perhaps Office X is different?
*However,* iTunes is all one word. You seem to be typing "i Tunes", and
that's increasing the frequency of this annoyance for you.
Shortterm, hitting cmd-z after an autocorrection should undo the annoyance,
which should only occur when you *start* a sentence with iTunes or eBay,
etc, not every time you use it.
Longterm, MS isn't up on "the new spelling," which has become very common
despite the fall of the "new economy." Send feedback and complain that you
can't enable this type of autocorrect or dictionary exception. If you don't
