Categories in Entourage (Email)

Hi, I am using an iBook G4 with Office for Mac.
In the Entourage address book I have applied categories to most of my
contacts. When receiving emails, however, the message is always shown as
"Family" category (overriding other set categories if any), so all incoming
messages have the same color. How can I change this (default setting?) to use
the categories more efficiently for my email?

Thanks for any help!

Hi, there's an option in Entourage's preferences (General Preferences>
Address Book) which makes it automatically match message categories to
senders' categories. If you disable that option, all your incoming emails
will be set to "none", and you are free to set your own categories. Also, if
you apply a category to a message which has already been assigned a
category, the colour of that message will change to reflect the new
category. One last tip: you can also use rules (Tools>Rules) to assign
incoming messages to categories based on criteria which you can define. If
anything's unclear, or if you need any help with the rules, just post back.
