I have set categories for a lot of contacts in my address book and was of
the understanding that email received from these contacts would be
highlighted in the same colour but all my email comes on with the category
set to none. Can anyone help?

Go to Entourage > Preferences, and then go to General Preferences > Address
Book. Under "Messages", make sure the option to "Automatically match
message categories to senders' categories" is checked.

If that doesn't change the behavior, go to Tools > Rules, and make sure you
don't have any rules with the action "Set Category None." Look closely at
the criteria and the "Execute actions" pop-up. You probably don't want this
action in a rule that runs on All Messages. Also check the Mailing List
Manager to make sure you don't have that action set up in your mailing
lists.
