Category and Project update: new assignments working

Old Category and Project links are gone. Newly assigned category info seems
to work. Is there a way to recover the info for previously assigned
contacts?

Category and Project in Entourage are not synchronized with Exchange. These
will be lost by empting cache. There is no way to recover the info for
previously assigned contacts unless you have a copy of the set of your
contacts in your local.
