cell bg color vs. date

Is there a way to make the bg color of a cell yellow during a certai
quarter of a year, like between one date and another? I have a repor
that has quartly results on it, but I have to manually change the colo
every quarter and I'm scared I'm gonna forget one day

use Format - Conditional format for this and enter for example the following
formula:
=AND(A1>=DATE(2004,1,1),A1<DATE(2004,4,1))
