Certain text becoming completely random text in some emails.

Whenever I get certain emails, the details, From: To: Sent: Subject:
these four lines are in complete random letters, numbers and
characters. When I then click forward, this email and the details are
then completely legible. Is this a font issue, or something to do with
HTML vs plain text emails, or perhaps something to do with the person
sending the email. TIA.

This is a very strange problem that I have been having for about 4
months. I, too, discovered that if I hit reply, I can read the text of
the message. I thought it might have something to do with my cable
modem since resetting it fixed the problem once, but I'm not sure that
really is the issue. I work from two locations, and it doesn't matter
if I'm on large company network or if I'm home using my cable modem and
router, I still have the problem. I am using OS 10.3.9 with Entourage
2004 for Mac version 11.1.0. If anyone comes up with a real solution to
this problem, please share your findings.

I've had this occur two or three times. I immediately make a backup of
my Office 2004 Identities folder and then rebuild the Entourage
database.

If you've never rebuilt the database, (if I recall correctly) hold the
Option key while clicking the Entourage icon in the dock and it will
open a dialog box asking you what you want to do (rebuild or something
else).
