Change in 97 causes 2000 error msg.

I added another option in a combo box on a form in Access
97. At least the Mgr that had me make the change was using
97. The box is used for 'Reason for Call' in CS. I just
added 'Merchant' in the record source on the table and in
the row source of the combo box. Now, the ones using
Access 2000 can't open the form - they get the error
message: "The database that you are trying to open or
convert is currently in use or you do not have permission
to open it exclusively. When you convert a dbs or the 1st
time you open an earlier version dbs. another can't have
it open. *Using the version of MS Access in which the dbs
is written, have your workgroup Admin grant you permission
to open the dbs exclusively. Multiply users can share the
dbs after you open it for the first time." (We closed all
others and it still won't open)
I couldn't find Access program on this Mgr's computer. I'm
familiar with Access but have no knowledge yet of anything
to do with Access and servers. Is it time to call in the
technicians at MS?
