What version Publisher?

Select your picture, on the picture toolbar, click color (looks like a bar
chart), click wash out.

NO, does not work... back pic will not blend into top pic and show through.

Been working on this steadily for 4 days.

I love Microsoft!!!!

I hate Publisher!!

Very simple in an advanced image
editing program.

There's a 60 day trial version available
for download if you would like to give it
a try:

Microsoft Digital Image
Starter Edition 2006
http://tinyurl.com/28loxr
(this product line has been
discontinued but you can still
down-load the Starter Version
and run it for 60 days)

Open the image in DIS 2006 and go to...
Effects / Transparency / Even...drag the
slider to achieve the transparency you
require.

Also been using Corel Paint Pro.... Does what I want. Just muddling thru
again.
The back pic takes on the colors of the front pic which is what I need.
Publisher just coes to the front in a washed out box.

Tried "Picture It", too. Must not have done what I need.

Thanks for 6- day trial. I'll try anything now. Need to pack and do many
things yet.

Thanks

I love Microsoft.
