Changes lost in MSGraph

I have noticed that sometimes I can input data into MSGraph but then
loose the changes are lost when I change slide in PPT . People have
made two suggestions 1)That this is due to using the mouse wheel to
change slides 2)This is due to the version of Windows. We use W2000
Professional Version (5.0.2195 Service Pack 4 Build 2195) together with

PPT 2000 SP3 (9.0.6620).
The same problem with PPT occurs with another in-house mapping program.

Any suggestions!
