Changing Default Email Application

Bill

Whenever I click on an email hyperlink, it automatically opens a new
email
in iMail (which I'm not using). How do get it to default to and open a
new email message in Entourage mail. I'm on a Mac OS X 10.4.7.

Thanks.

In mail.app, in the preferences, you can set the preferred email client for
mail protocol.

In mail.app, in the preferences, you can set the preferred email client for
mail protocol.

And if it offends you that Apple has moved the preference for default mail
client into its Mail program, and the default for browser into Safari, you
can try the freeware program IC-Switch, which lets you set defaults for
mail, browser, FTP, and news reader via a menu bar menu.

Thanks, Allen. Perhaps if many years ago, Apple had elected to do more
"offensive" things like you describe, the market shares for PCs and
Macs would be reversed. Thanks for the tip.
