Hi everyone - This question is pretty dumb, but I'm hoping someone ca
help me with it anyway - Whenever I open a new message, my fonts ar
coming out in yellow (instead of black). I go to check the fon
settings, and they are yellow, so I change to black. I open a ne
message, the fonts are set again to yellow. How do I stop this ?

thanks in advance, T

Do you have stationery settings? Have you tried resetting the document
template if you're using Word as the editor? Care to state your Outlook
version?

well guys I think I figured it out. In tools/options/mail format
compose in this message format, I had html checked off. When I change
this to rich text, the problem went away.

thanks, until next time, T

thanks Brian - I'm using Outlook 2003, (11.8313.8221) SP3. I have reset
the stationery settings to automatic (black). I have checked them
several times. They are constant and appear to be ok. I will have to
figure out what you're talking about with the document template. As far
as I know, my outgoing mail is working correctly now, but I suppose it
would be a good idea to check the template as you have suggested. Where
do I find it ?

rich text should not be used for messages that get sent to the internet. (It
only works in Outlook.) While it 'fixed' your immediate problem, it did not
address the cause of your yellow text.

Now, that's not what I said, is it? I said "none", not "automatic."

Hi Brian - With all due respect, I really have no idea what you'r
talking about. "Now, that's not what I said, is it? I said "none", no
"automatic."
there is no such setting, and I don't recall in this thread you sayin
"none". The settings I'm referring to are at: tools/options/mai
format/fonts/choose font/color: black/auto

The font color is not the stationery settings. It could be you're not using
stationery. Are you using Outlook's built-in editor or are you using Word to
compose your messages?
