Changing Image Boundary

C

Cindy

Hi. In my last version on Publisher (it was 97) there was a handy little tool that took an image (I used it on jpg images) and when you selected the image and pushed the button it changed the boundary of the image to fit it exactly -- meaning if it was a small, odd shaped object that was shown in a square, it would re-adjust to have the image boundaries exactly the size of the image. This is kind of hard to explain.

Anyway, I see the tool in 2002, it is the Edit Irregular Wrap button however, you have to manually adjust and resize the outline. The other way was soooo much easier. I'm I missiing something here? Where did that tool go? I see the button on the tool bar, but when I select an object it is grayed out??????

HELP!! Thanks so much.

Microsoft decided you no longer had any need for feature and removed it.
Who do you think you are questioning the decisions Microsoft makes for you.
If Microsoft decided you do not need it, you do not need it.

That is one of the many reasons why so many people still have Publisher 97
and later versions installed on their computer. They will all co-exist
happily.

Cindy I am so pleased to see the error of your ways. That is a suitable
punishment for you. You have done well my child <g>

I do a lot of work in Publisher 97, then open it in Publisher 2003 to finish
it off.

Publisher 97 is just the best for doing the majority of the publication
because of all the excellent defaults and easy to access features, and then
do the final formatting and completion in Publisher 2003.
