Changing label print settings

R

Robin Chapple

Ineed to prepare a custom label to print 11 rows of 3 labels on a
UNISTAt label No 38931

I have prepared a custom label, which I have called 33 up, from the
Avery 5160 definitions because the ten row fit.

How do I encourage the eleventh row to print?

Thanks,

Robin Chapple

Don,

Thanks. Publisher 2002 does not have "" Page Options button "".

The choices are "" Adjust Label Settigs "" and "" Advanced Print
Settings ""

The label settings option will not go to 11 rows.

Cheers,

Robin

You can use the template as a measurement guide. Choose custom in the page setup.
Input 70 for the width, 25 for the length. Click the "change copies per sheet", set
all the gaps to zero. You should then have 11 up.

Mary,

I have failed to find that "change copies per sheet" button.

I am using Publisher 2002. Can you give me a route map?

Thanks,

Robin

Hi Robin Chapple (robinski@NO_SPAM_melbpc.org.au),
in the Microsoft® newsgroups
you posted:

Go to File > Page Setup > Layout Tab > Printing Options section. This is the
same for 2002 and 2003.

I have checked the entries and found that if I select A4 as the paper
size and click OK it does not keep the setting. Next time I look it
has reverted to "Letter"

Thanks,

Robin Chapple

It only reverts to Letter because you have your printer driver set to
Letter.

If you are on XP check your printer driver options carefully as some printer
drivers require the size to be changed in two places.

I am using XP Home Edition.

Printer preferences show "" Printing Preferences A4 ""

Paper size is mentioned only once.

I have checked all entries three times.

Well Robin, I would suggest your printer driver is corrupt which is a rare
problem.

Check the website of your printer manufacturer and see if there is a later
version of the printer driver for your model, and download it.

DELETE the existing printer driver and if it asks "Do you want to remove
files no longer needed" answer YES

Then RE-boot your computer and install the latest printer driver.

All printer metrics are taken from the printer driver, and there is no known
issue of the type you describe in Publisher, but there are certainly many
issues with printer drivers that don't conform to the standard, the worst
being HP, Brother and Panasonic.
