Changing language settings in dictionary/spell check

Jax

Hi, I've looked everywhere to find this answer - Please Help!
everytime i spell check a document, the dictionary uses English (U.S.), i
want to change it permanently to English (Australia), Ive tried changing
regional and language settings on control panel, fiddled with check from main
dictionary only, had a fiddle with the custom dictionary....but it still will
only check it once in English Australia, then reverts back to U.S. How do i
change it permanently? thank you

Hi, Jax. Two things might help:
1. In Word, open a document that has this problem. Press Ctrl+A to select
all of the text, and click on Tools | Language | Set Language |
English(Australia) | uncheck the "Do not check spelling or grammar" box |
uncheck the "Detect language automatically" box | Default | OK.
2. In Windows, click on Start | Control Panel | Regional and Language
Options | Languages | Details | English(U.S.) | Delete | OK | OK.
