Changing Source Links from LAN to HTTP

My organization recently moved from a LAN drive environment to a DMS that
utilizes web protocols (product is Livelink.) I have a deck that has source
links pointing to a LAN drive path (i.e. S:\Folder\Sample.xls) and I'm
looking for a way to change the source to the new location (i.e.
http://calligodocsvcsrisc/CalligoDMS/llisapi.dll/Open/47602256). I can
successfully paste the new URL into the Edit-->Links window when fixing
Excel-to-Excel links, but when I try to do the same in PP, I get an error
message. Does anybody have any advice?

They're linked worksheet objects.

I get the error when I go to menu option Edit --> Links. I highlight the
existing link, paste the URL (example below) into the "File name" entry field
and click "Open." The error message is "You cannot use an Internet address
here. Enter a path that points to a location on your computer or on the
network."

Performing a similar function in Excel, updating a file link to a URL, works
successfully.

It seems that PPT won't permit OLE links to URLs ... you may want to
contact the developer of this new network software to see if they have any
thoughts/workarounds.

I've done some searching and am afraid I came up empty.

Thanks for checking, Steve. I'll contact our vendor to see if they have any
solutions up their sleeves.
