Changing the Address Book View

Is there any simple way of adding the mobile phone field to the main address book view?

Certainly! With AB displayed, Go to the View menu, select Columns, and you
will see a list of all the fields in the AB. The ones checked are already
being displayed; to add a new column, just select the field you want, such
as "Mobile Phone". It will appear as a new column in the list. You can then
click and hold on the field header (the cursor will change to a closed
fist), and drag the column to whatever location you wish in the display. If
you click on the column header, Entourage will sort the address book listing
on that field; a second click will reverse the sort order. So you can
easily, for instance, produce a listing that has all the records with data
in the Mobile Phone field at the top.

How do you change the address book view from the columns to "business cards" or something like them as found in MS Outlook?

You can't. If you would like to see this feature added, send feedback.

When working in Office, you can use the ³Send Feedback² option under the
Help menu in all of the Office applications.

I followed the answer for adding a mobile phone to display field but my only choice was the "Custom phone 1" label. Because my contacts are listed with the "mobile" phone tag they won't display as that is not one of the choices in the columns list

What version of Entourage are you using? When I right-click (or cmd-click)
on the list of available columns for displaying address book entries in
Entourage 2004, the drop-down list shows both "Mobile Phone" and "Custom
Phone 1" as well as many others.
