Changing the From field in Entourage

Is there any way to change the From field in Entourage 2004 to show
another account I have access to without using the Delegate feature?

Here is the situation as confusing as it sounds. We have a generic
exchange account set up for the editor of our magazine (ex.
[email protected]) that is shared with the multiple editors
(actual living, breathing people) for that particular magazine. These
accounts are shown as Public Folders in Entourage. None of the users
are set up as delegates. The question that has come up is if they can
send emails as the main [email protected] email account. In
Outlook in Windows, the From field may be edited to the
[email protected] address and then the user is authenticated to
that account before it is sent out. I am looking to see if this is
possible in Entourage, either natively or with help from an outside
application?

Create a new Account (Tools > Accounts) with the other account's
information. If you want to actually receive email with that account, create
it as an Exchange account with all the proper information, settings, and the
Password.

If you want it as a send-only account, create it as a POP3 account and
leave the 'Receiving Mail' section blank. You'll need an SMTP server,
however, which you may or may not have depending on the configuration of
your Exchange server.
