Changing the language from French to English

I recently purchased Microsoft Office "Edition
Professionelle 2003" in France.

I should not therefore be surprised that the default
language is French.

However, I have followed the instructions to change the
default language via:
"Start"
"Microsoft Office Tools"
"Language Parameters"
etc.

But the language continues to be French, even after re-
booting.

I've spent a lot of money on this product and although I
speak passable French, I tend to struggle with computers
when communicating in English so heaven knows how I'll
manage in French!.... (they don't even call these things
computers here, they call them ordinateurs!).

Has anybody else had this problem and did they resolve it
satisfactorily?
