Changing the subject of received emails

How can I change the subject of saved emails so I can change it to something
I can remember the email by ? In outlook, I could just select the subject of
the message, type a new one and then save the message which changed it.
Entourage doesn't allow me to edit the message that way and I couldn't find
any menu item for this purpose. I'm using Entourage 2004.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Abhijit

With the message open, click Message->Edit Message. You can then change
the subject and save the email.

With the message open, click Message->Edit Message. You can then change
the subject and save the email.

When I click on Message, the Edit Message option is disabled (grayed out).
Is there something I need to change ?

As the previous person said, you have to open the message. It is not
sufficient to have it displayed in the preview panel. You have to
double-click on the message to open it in its own window. Then the Edit
Message menu item will be available.

Yes. I realize that. It's disabled even after I have opened the message.
That's why I am still stuck with this.

Are you speaking about e-mail messages or usenet posts? Even double
clicking on posts will not permit you to edit them. This only works on
e-mail messages.

I am talking about email messages. It's messages on an Exchange 2000 server.
