Changing XP settings after install on Win2k TS

I have come across a win2k terminal server with OfficeXP installed.

I wish to change some settings for the installed components.

Do I need to use system policies rather then Group Policy? (Some of the
settings are input locale, macro settings/behaviour, and default document
saving location)

I believe an administrative install point was created, so if I were to
change the settings by using the customized wizard (updating the customized
file), how will the server update to the recent changes?
