Characters appearing in messages from Office 2000

We operate on Office 2000 and we have one person using Office 2003. When they
forward e-mails/reply to our e-mails, weird characters replace commas,
apostrophe's, etc. We've tried every different setting under options (HTML,
rich text, plain text, and Word) and cannot find the solution. Any
suggestions? Thanks

it may be Unicode codes. Is it replaced by just one character or 2 or 3?

Perhaps they are using a font that you don't have in your version of Office,
or have installed?

Sounds like they've configured Outlook to use Unicode and OL 2000 can't
handle that.

It's not happening quite as often. When it does, it's a couple characters
that change. If he sends direct without forwarding/replying, none of the
characters show up. Thanks for the help.
