Characters display incorrectly

Tweezak

When I view the same PPT file on two different machines with the exact same
version of Office 2003, some characters are not displayed correctly. The most
problematic characters seem to be braces that are oriented horizontally
rather than vertically. These often appear as 123 or other combinations of
digits. Sometimes the brace is shown but it is vertical and stretched
horizontally giving it a "fat" appearance.

However, like I mentioned, this same file viewed on other machines (I read
the file from a flash drive so it is definitely the same) appears normal. The
machine that is displaying incorrectly is an HP TC1100 tablet PC running XP
Tablet.

I have already tried installing all the fonts from a known good machine to
no avail.

Thanks in advance.

Almost certain this would be a font display problem, not necessarily a PPT
problem. As a test: create a simple Word doc using the problematic font and
open on computer with the font display problem. Does the odd display still
occur? Let us know.
