Checking Projects In

E

E Carlsson

We have three projects that we can not check back in to the MSP Server. The
projects indicate that they are checked in by the Owner of the project, but
even the Owner of the project can not open them. These projects are not even
listed in the "Check in enterprise projects" in the Administrator console nor
can be deleted from the server.

How can we check them in or that is not possible, eliminate them from the
server once we create a duplicate project?

We had this problem and had to modify the data directly in SQL to "check"
them back in. I don't recommend this for the faint of heard or the novice
sql person, but it worked.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for your prompt respnse. I was affraid of your answer.

Do you know the SQL fields that had to be modified in the database to check
the projects back in?

The proj_checkedout field in the MSP_Project table is the one. Values are 0
= checked in, 1 = checked out. You will need to know what the proj_Id is of
the project you want to check in.

Once I did this, I immediately went into MSP Pro, checked out the project
properly and checked it back in to clean up any of the views and such.

Hope this helps.
