Hello together

is it possible to change the Printer in Word without using the slow function
'ActivePrinter'?

i only need to set the Printer for this one Print-Job and after this the
ActivePrinter (Windows Deafult Printer) should be the old Default Printer.

Thanks
Josh

Hi Josh,

Yes, you can do this. Take a look at the following article

Changing the selected (current) printer in Word without changing the system
default printer

ActivePrinter is pretty much instantaneous here, and is the function
required to set the printer - see the code at
http://www.gmayor.com/fax_from_word.htm

Note Word formats according to the printer driver, the delays you are
experiencing may be attributable to reflowing the document to the changed
driver. You can't avoid this.
