Choosing paths mid-presentation

I wanted to know if it is possible to choose different paths to go down while
giving a presentation. For example, if the presenter asks the audience to
respond to a question on a slide, does the presenter then have the ability to
jump to the slides only applicable to the crowds response and avoid the
irrelevant slides? If so, what are the controls?

There are several ways to do this. For a quick and dirty method, just type
a slide number and hit Enter. However, if you want this set up in advance,
you can insert hyperlinks, either from text or from shapes. To do it from
text, highlight the text you want to be the link and choose Hyperlink from
the Insert menu. You can choose to link outside the presentation or to a
"Place in this document" which could be another slide. Alternatively, you
can draw a shape or an action button (Slide Show menu > Action Buttons) and
set that to hyperlink to a slide.

There are actually several ways to do this!

a) Have action buttons / shapes on slides where there could be a "diversion"
Each of these could have an on click action to hyperlink to a different
slide. You could even make the shapes "invisible " (99% transparent) so that
only you would know they are being clicked. Get back if you dont know how to
do this.

b) Have a list of the slide numbers you may want to go to and at any time
type in the number of the slide + enter to go to it

c) Mark slides you may NOT want to go to as "hidden" - normally these will
be skipped but if you choose to use them just press"H" to go to the next
hidden slide.
