Choreograpehed object movement

I am creating a presentation to show how the different RAID solutions work
and would like to animate the data writing process. Is there a way I can
have the text A1 leave a starting point, travel down the SCSI cable I have
drawn and arrive at the first hard drive?

I would really appreciate any help that you can provide.

With PPT 2002 or 2003 you can use "Motion Paths". What version of PPT are
you using?

I am using version 2000. Are their any tools included with that release?

I'm not sure you can do exactly what you want in 2000, but you might want
to check out:

This demonstrates some fancy things you can do with animation in
PowerPoint 2000.

No, PPT 2000 doesn't have motion paths.

You may be able to fake it, though. See

tricky animation in PPT 2000.
