Does anyone know how to resolve a circular reference error?

Thanks.

I have encountered a few times, but not sure if it's exactly the same
case.

What happen to me was I've copied and paste rows of tasks that has
baseline. Afterwards when I save the project it prompted me with an
error about duplicate key, bla bla bla. Next time I open the project
plan prompted me circular reference.

The project plan is basically corrupted, so even if you can
successfully retrieve the plan with ODBC, there will be tasks missing.

Sorry that I don't have any tips on how to restore the plan. The best
I can think of is to avoid copy and paste full row of task(s).

Thanks. I will try it out.

These typically happen when people get heavy-handed with the predecessor and
successor linking. Use these sparingly and only when needed rather than
linking everything imaginable even when it doesn't enhance your plan. If
it's strictly information, create a note for the task, not a dependency.

To help you find your circular reference, go to http://www.masamiki.com
where Jack Dahlgren has generously published a macro that will help you
quickly locate the problem.
