Is ther e away to revert to the "classic view "in Office
2003 -- that is to eliminate the information that take sup
1/3 of my screen so I can use the entire screen. If
possible, could you reply to my email ([email protected]) rather
than this group.
thnak you,
tom

As for the classic view, I assume you mean the taskpane. You can turn it
off under View=>Toolbars->Uncheck Task Pane.

I tried your suggestion, and it turns off the task pane, for the moment. As
soon as you select File/New, it turns the task pane on again. Having the
task pane on creates an extra step to get to a workgroup template. I think
we'd like to eliminate that step.

I'll be glad to see your suggestions here in the forum. Thanks.

Yes, I have the same experience. No matter whether or not you check/uncheck
the "show startup task pane" in options, it seems to always come back. I
had a similar problem enabling MDI and found I had to uncheck / close /
recheck / close to get it to work right. The "help" just won't go away!
