/cleanreminders

Does anyone know a good document that will tell me what /cleanreminders
does? I've been told before to use this command and I know it cleans and
regenerates reminders but I don't know exactly what it does. My biggest
concern is that I'll use this switch and it will delete something
intentionally that I have no knowledge of.
