Click and Spacebar

I am using Powerpoint 2002, but the same thing happened with Powerpoint 97.
When I have text boxes and objects on a slide and arrange for each of them
to show progressively on a mouseclick, in some slides the click has no
response, but tapping the spacebar or Enter key does.

What stops the mouseclick from being effective at that point? (It always
happens at the same place).

Gus,

My first guess is something hidden on the slide you can't see (of course you
can't see it <g>). One way to find out is to go Control + A to select all
objects. Then see if there is something you can see that you didn't know
about. Alternatively, if it is a small presentation, I would be happy to
look at the offending slide.

Go to Slide Show > Transitions and check On Mouse Click. You have probably
disabled the mouse on those slides.

Hi,

I got an example and it really is strange. The animation is set to run
automatically, but with a 50% delay on each word. In the animation Advanced
timeline, it shows as an animation that runs for a short time, but occupies
a long space. I'll send it to a few people who are better detectives than
me!

Sonia,

Hmmm. This thing I am currently eating tastes just like humble pie! Well
done Sonia!
