Clicking links in mail message opens browser twice in Outlook 2002?????

When I click a hypertext link in a mail message in Outlook 2002 it
opens my browser twice, with only the second browser actually opening
the site while the first displays an error message that the site could
not be found.

I've checked the URL type file associations and the appear correct.

Does anyone have any idea why this has started happening all of a
sudden? It's really annoying
