Clip art does not appear in new blank publications when inserted

D

doogle

I am running office 2003 pro. When I use Publisher , the following happens. I
open a new blank publication page and go to insert some clip art. The
outerframe of the clip art appears but not the actual clip art. There is no
clip art to be seen. When I print it out the clip art is there.
Can any one help? What am I doing wrong???

Doogle, In IE, tools, Internet Options, delete files. You may want to look into an
upgraded video driver.
Try this: Right-click your desktop, properties, settings tab, advanced button,
troubleshooting tab, slide the acceleration bar down some, see if that helps.
Are you inserting the clipart from the Organizer? Do you get an error?

Thanks for the suggestion, BUT I have selected the detailed picture
option but it does not make the picture appear. My computer is running
with 1Gig of memory so thats not an issue. Any other suggestions????

Hi Mary, thanks for your ideas.
My computeris running an Athlon 3Gh cpu, 1 Gig of Ram, with a Radeon 9600
pro video card with 256 Meg of video ram.
The problem seem to occur when I select Search every where for the clip
art, that is it also searches the Microsoft Office on line sight for Clip Art,
which has stacks of clip art.
If I only select my collections and Office collections ithat is what's on
the local hard drive I do not appear to have the problem.
Any thoughts????

The problem occurs because Publisher cannot download the thumbnail images,
as the cache in Internet Explorer is full.

If you follow Mary's advice for clearing your IE cache, then you might get
somewhere.

I suggested that two days ago, Mary told him how when he said he didn't know
how so I'm not sure if he ever tried that solution or not.

I believe that I have discovered a way for the clip art to stop disappearing
in my documents. If I add the art and then print the document they
disappear. Likewise, if I add the art, save the document and then print it
disappears. But, if I add the art, save the document, close the document,
reopen it and then print, the art remains in place. Quirky but true!
