Hello NG,
my request in a german group had no response, so I like to ask my question
here.
Some day ago I installed 5 Office XP-Pro an Dell-HW, one dimension 4500S and 4
Notes Latitude 500D, all runnning WIN-XP Pro SP2. The Desktop an 2 Notes had
no errors, but the other 2 display an error windows when starting the Clip
organizer.
The message is: RPC-server not available
errornumber: 0x8007 06BA
The notes all have identical confiuration and SW installed.
The RPC-service is up and running. So I interpret the error, that the
Clip-organizer ahs to registrate himself as a server-Process with the
RPC-service. This must have been done for the 3 OKs machines, but not for the
2 faulty Notes.
In the 1st ocurrence I ran a repare-install from the Clip-CD, for the 2nd I
uniinstalled the Clips and reinstalled. Both didn't help.
Any idea or knowledge about the reason and how to solve the problem?
If my imagination above is correct, perhaps I can enter the Info somewhere in
the registry?
