I am using 10.3.4 on my iMac and Entourage 10.1.4. Recently when I
duplicate my hard drive for backup using "Restore" from DU, I cannot open
Entourage on the clone. It tells me to rebuild my database, which I do, but
then I get this message:
"You do not have write access to the Entourage application folder. To run
Entourage you must have the administrative user remove the identities
folder from the application folder. For more information, see Entourage
Read Me file."
I am guessing that I have permissions set up wrong but have been unable to
fix this despite MANY tries. I am the only user on this computer. I am the
administrator. Even when I list Jean Jones as owner on both the source and
destination and give read and write permission, I still get this error
message. I have tried copying the identities folder from the original to the
clone and I have tried to search this newsgroup and read
everything on Mactopia, but can't fix this. Can some saint out there help
this hopeless non-techie?
