Can't get certain movies, e.g. mpg and large avi files to play within
powerpoint?

Thanks

You will need to identify the specific codec used to encode the file and
then install that codec on ALL machines you wish to play the presentation
on. As an alternative I'd like to suggest you give PFCMedia a try. In a
nut-shell it will reformat the media into a format that will Play For
Certain on other Windows PCs and versions of PowerPoint. You may download a
fully functioning trial from www.pfcmedia.com and use it for two weeks at
zero cost.
