collaborate without a server

I do volunteer community work and often need to collaborate with a few other
individuals to develop a document. The individuals are not always the same
people, and most are not connected to a business server. I would like a way
to temporarily use a SharePoint Document Workspace, perhaps hosted by
Microsoft.com, to collaborate with other individuals not connected to a
business server.
