column to text for multi-line text cells

Hi,

Does anyone know how to split a text cell that contains
two lines of text (created using alt enter) into two
cells which each contain one line of the original text?
Using just "column to text" doesn't work since the
feature doesn't recognize alt enter as a delimiter and
therefore doesn't recognize the second line (it just
deletes it). I need to perform the split I described for
a column of 9000+ rows so I need to be able to automate
this.
