combine a general word document with individual documents

Jan

Hello,

I have two general documents and 200 individual documents. What is the best
way to add the first general document before an individual documents and the
second general document after the same individual documents. (and this 200
times)

Hi Jan,
if the documents are very complicated, that is,
different sections, different headers, tables of contents,
all kinds of graphics, footnotes..., than I'd say, forget it.
If it's plain text, then you could try something like (pseudocode)
IndividualDoc.range.insertbefore GeneralDoc1.range
IndividualDoc.range.insertafter GeneralDoc2.range
If it comes to transferring formatting, than you would
probably have to use copy and paste.
If looping is the problem, then you would have to identify
the individual documents somehow (name, fullname, author, title ...)
....
