combine HLookup & VLookup functions?

I need a function that looks up a horizontal value and a verticle value at
the same time. If the function is true it returns the triangulated cell
value. Example: If the verticle value is found in row 3 and the horizontal
value is found in column D; it would return the value in the cell D3.

Any help would be appreciated.
