Combining Inboxes in a single window?

S

Steven Folberg

Hi,

In Mail.app, I was used to displaying all of my Inboxes in a single
window (for two POP accounts and one IMAP -- i.e., .Mac -- account. Is
there a way to do this (view all my Inboxes together in the same window)
in Entourage 2004?

Thanks,

Steve

You can create a custom view to do this. Set up the criteria to look for all
messages in all folders and include specific "Folder is" criteria for each
Inbox. Make sure the popup is set to "match if any criteria are met".

Thanks for the hint. This is nicer but still not as convenient as Mail. I
liked being able to view all inbox messages in one view and the choice of
each account inbox individually. But this is better than nothing.

Best,

Steven

Sent using the Microsoft Entourage 2004 for Mac Test Drive.

If you use the older 3-pane view, not the new 3-column view introduced and
set by default in 2004 - View/Preview Pane --> Below List - for this custom
view, you should see a Folder column (or add it in View/Columns). If you
click on the Folder column the list will sort by Folders, and you can scroll
to whichever you want then scroll again.

I'm not exactly sure what you are looking for, but whatever it is, some
combination of the predefined folders and Custom Views will give you what
you want in Entourage. If you need help setting things up, let us know and
be very specific.

Thanks for the tip. This makes Entourage start up a little more slowly (as
the program syncs with the .Mac account, I guess) but other than that it
works fine.
