Combo Charts

Hello,

I have a column chart with a trend line that depicts the amount of incidents
that occur month to month for example Nov 470 Dec 420 ...What I would like
to do is on the same chart, show the percent of increase or decrease between
the months to give more substance to the chart...has anyone done this before?

Thanx

David

If you add a column that calculates the change and make that part of the
data series, then you can put the change data on the secondary axis as
follows:

Select the "change" series then go to the properties for that series. Under
the Axis tab, select Secondary axis. This will give you bars for the change
data and will show the change data along the right of the chart (assuming
you are using a vertical bar chart). With the change series still selected,
click on the "chart type" button on the chart toolbar and select the type of
chart you want for the change data, for example, selecting a line chart will
show a line for the change series superimposed over the bar chart.

I hope I explained this well enough for you.

One question...if the chart data is in a pivot table can I somehow add this
new info or would I have to re-create the pivot table
