Coming out of sleep Entourage beeps and the icon bounces

Since going to Panther, everytime I wake up my Powerbook, Entourage
beeps 3 times and the icon starts to jump and sometimes the OS sends
me a message there's no network connection on my hi speed cable modem.
It doesn't do this everytime but I'd say about 80% of the time.
Anyone else experiencing this annoying behavior since going to
Panther.

It's a known issue. Entourage tries to check mail immediately on awakening
before Panther has fully restored the network.
