Command-N brings up "Custom Arrangements" ?

P

Pitch

This is a new one: I have one Entourage (Entourage 2004 11.2.3) window
open, the "Mail · Main Identity" which is the main window I work
from.

Normally, when I hit Command-N, a new email window comes up that allows
me to send an email.

This morning, when I hit Command-N, I now get a small 3x3" window
called "Custom Arrangements: Mail". I've never seen this window before,
or even know what a custom arrangement is.

If I close all Entourage windows, and try again, same thing. However,
if I quit and restart Entourage, Command-N brings back the normal New
Email window.

Any ideas?

Shortcut keys getting fouled up is a common occurence with Entourage. The
only cure seems to be quitting Entourage and re-opening it. We feel your
pain but apparently there is not a solution yet.

I'm not entirely sure the blame falls on the Office team as it may be due to
changes in the OS. The jury's out on this one!

I've seen similar behavior when I've tried setting special shortcuts in
Entourage using the Keyboard preference panel. Are you setting shortcuts in
any way outside of Entourage? (Keyboard prefs; iKey; QuicKeys, etc.)

I do use QuicKeys. None have Command-N, though.

I have found that this problem is only occurring when I first click on
the Project Center. Once I do that, the "Custom Arrangements: Mail"
window comes back up with Command-N, regardless of which Navigation
Window I'm in (i.e., Mail, Address book, etc).
