comment line on phone field

Outlook allows to enter non numeric characters on a phone field, but will not
allow dialing in Windows mobile 6.1.
Are there comments symbols specific to the phone fields?

Any dialer will require standard format for phone numbers, which Outlook
provides. Windows Mobil issues are not Outlook issues.
